I’m Liyana Hanif - a graphic designer, art director and creative strategist.

With a decade of experience in the marketing industry, I've evolved my skill set beyond design. Starting with a degree in Graphic Arts from the University of Southampton in 2015, my journey has taken me through dynamic roles where I’ve honed my expertise in art direction, branding, print design, and visual storytelling.

Over the years, I’ve had the honour to lead a team of talented designers in several projects and develop impactful marketing campaigns, earning recognition, including winning my first Design Award at the Brunei Design Week Awards in 2021.

My passion for design extends beyond aesthetics; it's about creating meaningful connections and fostering community. This drive led me to co-found #JustBruneians in 2020, an initiative dedicated to celebrating and empowering the local creative community in Brunei. I believe that art plays a crucial role in shaping culture and society, and my mission is to highlight and support the value of our local artists and creatives.

Lately, I've been diving into the world of Generative AI and AI Tools and incorporating them into my creative process. I had the honour of speaking at the ASEAN-KOREA Innovative Culture Forum, where I delved into the transformative impact of AI on graphic design and marketing, sharing insights from my AI-driven projects and how it is shaping the future of creativity.

In addition to my design and strategic work, I am a regular speaker, hosting talks on creative design, branding, and Generative AI for creatives.
